Every year, students and instructors travel from all over the world to learn and teach at The Illustration Academy, one of the most highly regarded illustration programs in the world. The workshop consists of five immersive weeks structured similarly to a bootcamp for ambitious illustrators.

About The Illustration Academy

The Illustration Academy is based in the principles of picture-making. Drawing, ideation, storytelling and compositional skills are emphasized as the genesis of personal development and better concepts. The best artists, whether abstract or photorealistic come from a working knowledge and understanding of the skills associated with good picture-making.

We believe the best illustrators are a product of great ambition paired with diligent teaching and mentoring. Our career-focused approach to education is pretty simple: connect aspiring artists with the best illustrators in the game. During our 5-week bootcamp, students are exposed to an immersive educational environment that explores and maps out the secrets to the illustration industry. Our responsibility and mission is to shorten the gap that exists between the student and the working professional.

Attending instructors

During the 5-week workshop more than 12 of today’s most accomplished illustrators will visit to lecture, demo, mentor and critique students. Currently John English, Mark English, and George Pratt are confirmed for the 2017 session. To stay up to date with our growing roster of artists be sure to sign up for our newsletter.
