Figure Drawing Tonight, Featuring Mark English

Once again, we're hosting a monthly Illustration Academy Figure Drawing Session. Our second event is scheduled for TONIGHT, FEB. 25, 6:00-9:00pm. The session is open to the public. It will be hosted at an artist studio in the West Bottoms (1212 W. 8th street, Kansas City, MO 64101). Each month, we hope to feature a new local or visiting artist who will join the figure drawing session. Start your year off right and come sketch with the Academy!

There will be two models. We provide a limited number of easels, drawing horses, and drawing boards. To ensure you have the necessary support, please bring your own equipment or arrive early.

Entry is $5 at the door. There will be nude models at this event, so entry is 18+. Artists under the age of 18, must be with a parent or legal guardian and provide a valid consent form

About The Illustration Academy

The Academy is an immersive workshop offering five weeks of hands-on instruction from top working professionals. In addition to our star-studded list of working instructors and mentors, The Illustration Academy is proud to list some of today’s most successful illustrators, game developers, and entertainment artists as former students.

The full time instructors in the KC studio will be John English, George Pratt, and Mark English. During the 5-week program, additional Academy instructors rotate on a weekly basis. All of the instructors are leading professionals in their respective industries and offer unique perspectives on visual storytelling.
