Iconic graphic novel illustrator and painter, Bill Sienkiewicz is officially booked to instruct during week 4 (July 2 - July 9) of The Illustration Academy's summer workshop in Kansas City, MO. Week 4 of this immersive workshop will be jam-packed with illustration industry heavy weights. Sienkiewicz will be instructing alongside George Pratt, Bill Carman, and John English. 

Each week of the Illustration Academy is an immersive, hands-on learning experience. Students will work in groups with instructors as well as receive one-on-one feedback from our staff and visiting instructors. During the fourth week, students will attend lectures, demos, critiques, and figure drawing sessions with the visiting artists. On Monday, students will receive an assignment from Bill Sienkiewicz and other visiting artists. Students will have the remainder of the week to develop and work on the assignment. Each week consists of a different assignment and is designed to parallel projects that professional illustrators receive in the industry.

The Illustration Academy is a reinvented approach to art education where students are given access to industry professionals who are willing to share their wisdom and secrets to their craft.

Bill Sienkiewicz is an Eisner Award-winning and Emmy-nominated illustrator in the entertainment and publishing industries. He is internationally known for his groundbreaking work that reinvented the style and aesthetics of comic and graphic novel art. He is best known for his work with Marvel and his acclaimed graphic novel, Stray Toasters.
